Summer Lovin'

Our friends from church have a strawberry patch so we took the boys to pick some strawberries early Friday morning . The boys kept sneaking handfuls while Travis and I were busy picking! Here Micah is asking for "MORE" as the juice from his recent steal is dripping off his mouth!

What a man...so glad I picked him! :)

Tomorrow we will be heading home for 9 day!!! My time in Ohio is always so busy as I attempt to make up for lost time with my sisters, nieces, and friends. A trip to the Zoo, Spray Park, Mall, and Jewish Center is already in the works!!

I'll end todays entry with a cute story my mom sent. However, I deleted the email so it'll be from memory...bear with me.

A little boy was at the doctor's office when the doctor put a stethoscope up to his heart. The boy was frightened by the devise and asked to listen to his own heart first. The doctor complied and allowed the little boy to listen. The little boys' eye's widened as he exclaimed, "Jesus is knocking on my heart!!" :)

5.20.2010 Dad came home for lunch. Caleb looked at dad and exclaimed, "Travis we DON'T wear our shoes in the house!" :)

Now, if only HE could remember that!

Our swim lessons are over and we are going to try out our skills tomorrow at the Monon Center . This community center has an indoor pool that I think the boys will love! We'll see if those 'kickers and scoopers' come out!

Caleb and I were going to surprise my sister [a.k.a. Doula] and drive home to watch her run in her Marathon in which she is raising money to go to Guatemala this summer with Bridges Outreach. However......my great Uncle passed away and it looks like I won't be able to make the trip. We made shirts though and I wanted to make sure that Doula know we will be cheering her on her in Kokomo because we LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!

Mother's Day! 2010

Happy Mother's Day to all my mother friends [or mom's to be]!! Today was surprisingly enjoyable! I wasn't expecting much since we had an extremely busy weekend with Bridges and Travis and I were both exhausted from an all-nighter Friday. However, the day was filled with surprises, relaxation, and family. The boys each got me an appliance. Caleb bought mommy my first sewing machine! I have been asking for one for quiet some time so this was a very special treat. I am going to attempt to make some clothes for the boys and maybe even myself. Then Micah presented me with a new Blender. The boys get Veggie/Fruit smoothies daily so our old blender had served us well considering the amount of use it endured. And as many of you know, my love language is gifts so these two wonderful gifts filled my love tank up to the brim...the rest of the day was a blur due to my extreme excitement!

Aunt Angela graduated today from IUPUI with her MSW! We are so proud of her as she juggled raising a toddler, being pregnant, and going to school for the past 3 years!! All of her hard work paid off and she could not be more relived!! Yeah!!!!

Thank you God for allowing me to care and love Caleb Jay and Micah John Taflinger. It has been the most joyful experience of my life! I love you sooo much!
