Here is my favorite picture....Travis and I started our first garden this year and Caleb is holding our first cucumber!!! As you can tell, he was so excited he couldn't even wait for us to cut it up!! Papa Paolone you would be so proud!! There is also a tomato spotting and we have plenty of Baby Pak Choi!! It has been so much fun!!

Caleb is officially ONE!!! Where has the time gone!! We had a wonderful birthday weekend as we celebrated in Cinn, OH at Kings Island. Caleb was such a good boy and enjoyed the water so much!


We had our second doctor's appointment and were able to hear the baby's heartbeat....very similar to Caleb's which makes me think that we are having another boy!! We'll find out in Sept and keep you all posted!

This past weekend the family headed down to Bloomington for our annual college reunion!! We had such a wonderful time catching up with friends, playing games, eating, and enjoying one another!! We were divided into two large cabins...we had the best roomies!! It goes without saying that we are so thankful for Anderson University and the friendships that it produced!!! We love you all!

Caleb is becoming more and more aware of the world around him. Car rides he peaks his head over his car seat in order to take in the scenes... pretty soon Mr. Big Boy will be moved to his other car seat so he can face forward! He has adapted to his leash rather well. Although, I still find it somewhat dehumanizing, it does keep him safe. I couldn't allow myself to put any pictures up of him in his harness so you will just have to use your imagination. This will be my last post until we return from our trip!! Have a wonderful week! We love you!!!

Safety First

Since my official title at work is "Child Safety Specialist" I thought I'd begin practicing what I preach....which meant it was time for Caleb to be buckled into his highchair. From the above picture I hope that you can understand why I had been putting this off for so long. It seems that everywhere we go, poor Caleb is strapped in....his stroller, his car seat, his swing- the list goes on and on and now I have added the highchair to his list. However, despite much protest it was time. Mealtime has been substantially less stressful without the continual attempts from Caleb to escape.

Family, Food, Fun, and the Fourth!

My family was able to come up to Kokomo for the long Holiday weekend and we had such a wonderful time. We attend the Haynes Apperson Festival [and filled up on funnel cakes and fries], cooked-out, walked to Crazy Jay's Ice Cream, and laughed until we cried!!

Caleb found a water bottle and it has quickly become his favorite object. He especially enjoyed being 'misted' from Grammy!!

Since my family will not be able to come up for Caleb's Birthday at the end of the month we had a mini celebration while they were in town. Here is Caleb eyeing his angel food cake [a little healthier alternative we thought... :)]

He is defiantly a thrill seeker. A recent incident confirmed this belief... he was walking through the house and slipped on one of his cars. Imagine an old episode of The Three Stooges when Mo slips on a banana. Caleb went flying through the air and landed on his back. After a moment of shock he rolled over and laughed and laughed as if he was saying "Let's do that again." He did not get that trait from his mama -for sure!!
