The boys taking inventory on their vehicles
As many of you know I am an avid garage sale-er....well the other day I found 50 new [never been opened] jars of playdough for $1!!! Can you believe it!! Here's what we did in "Arts and Crafts" time last week!
[Side note: I found a bag of new diapers-size 4 for a $1!!! All the mothers out there can relate to the savings and the joy that accompanies this purchase!]

Another steal...I got this amazing fire truck at a garage sale for $1- it was a big hit!

Mohawk Mike!

And yet again....
I help create the curriculum for our church nursery. As I looked ahead at Septembers lesson plans I was encouraged by a verse I found..."Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will RUN and not grow weary, they will WALK and not be faint." I was encouraged to take time and seek God so that he could renew me to finish the race strong! Thank you Jesus for your awesome power and strength!
We are currently reading, "Bringing out the Genius In Your Child." Not because Caleb is a genius but because the book contains numerous activities to do with your toddlers that promote brain development. One suggestion was to provide opportunities for your child to express themselves creatively through various outlets. Today's outlet was PAINT!! He loved it. He became so excited he was jumping while he painted. Up until recently we felt he would do more damage then good with paint and although today was extremely messy, it was worth it! More pictures to come!
Okay enough for now!!
We Love You!

Caleb at church with his friends!!

My boys continues to be such a joy and I LOVE LOVE watching them interact!

Each night we pray a prayer of blessing over our boys. Tonight Caleb tried to say it along with us! My heart = melted!
"May You Lord, bless and keep them. May You shine Your face upon them and give them Peace!!"

The Hat

So Micah has been more mobile and as a result, he is falling more....more than I remember Caleb ever doing. I was becoming concerned about the excessive falls so I looked online for 'baby helmets [insert laughter here]. However, they were too expensive for our budget so in a hast I created one [picture above] that he now wears in the house when he tries to keep up with Caleb!! It just makes me laugh!!

Frontal...okay so it clearly needs some work but I'm telling you that I whipped this up in about 30 seconds after yet another fall!

Standing in his crib

Watermelon from our garden...delicious!

My boys

The boys are now in the same size diapers...just makes things easier!
Man I LOVE MY BOYS! Wrestling on the bed with daddy!

Micah in his rubber ducky bath now that he sits up...not only does this child sit up, he crawls and table walks already-what am I going to do!!???!!!

Nice muscles!
As the world prepares to send their children back to school this week I am so grateful that I have several more years with both of my boys before letting them go. I have three more years to mentally prepare for that day!
Thought of the Day: "Be still and know that He is God!"

Birthday Boy!

Playing with his truck. I can't believe how quickly Micah is hitting his milestones. I know that this has a great deal to do with his desire to keep up with Caleb. Today, Travis was changing Caleb's diaper and Micah quickly crawled over to him and took all the toys that were in Caleb's hands. Caleb doesn't stand a chance! :)

Caleb's 2nd Birthday!

This past weekend we celebrated Caleb's 2nd Birthday because we were out of town for the actual day. Caleb enjoyed all of the attention, sugar, and especially the CARS!!!
Blowing out his candles...with daddy's help!
