Caleb plays Soccer for Chapel Hill Christian Church
Sorry for the boring video but this blog is sort of like a virtual journal for me...I have to post these clips somewhere because I don't know how to make them into a CD.
Caleb plays on the orange team for the 5-6 year old team. At today's game he scored 2 of the 4 goals! He does a great job running the entire time and is very entertaining to watch- very animated!
Family Day in Indianapolis!
The boys and I decided to tag along as Daddy took the Bridges students Ice Skating in Indianapolis last weekend. Aren't these skates the sweetest!
Micah was a wee bit wobbly...
Caleb tried the 'Ice Walker' for a little bit ;)
First Time Skating!!
After ice skating we went to a Butler Bulldogs Basketball game. This was pretty much Caleb the entire time...cheering, screaming, and rooting on those Bulldogs!
That play brought him to the ground!
By the fourth quarter we were spent!

Boys
I struggle in the athletic dept of things. In fact...currently on our fridge I have a discolored newspaper article from 2000 which featured the Lady Patriots win against Mentor Christian. The article reads, "Lisa Paolone serves 16 points!" I remember writing this down in my Diary/Journal at the time. I wasn't very good so this was a grande accomplishment...a rarity really. I ran across the article the other day and put it on the fridge as sort of a joke....if you know my husband Travis- he was featured weekly for his superb athletic ability. I say all that to say that God has a sense of humor. He knew that my sons would become increasingly more interested in athletics. And that one day I would have to teach them how to throw a ball or return a serve. Well that day is today my friends.....except I'm just not ready yet. I feel that I may need to take a few courses in this trade.
Then I saw this commercial: Click here for the commercial and felt at peace with my inabilities and continually have to ask God to reveal my abilities with boys.
As a young girl I just was certain that I would have girls. In fact, I am really great with little girls. I can drink tea with the best of them..even paint polka dots on the littlest of nails. But God has blessed me with boys...13 of them. (Regardless- at 5:30p.m Travis comes home, he undoes all the damage that occurs during the day.)
Giving it my best shot! :)

Sadly, this is the only picture of the Holiday Season. My camera is not working right and I'm dragging my feet getting a new one.... here are the boys with their TN cousins and Aunt BZ. Enjoying a little winter wonderful land at Easy Acre Farms!
We welcomed two new boys to the dorm this week [please visit http://mikalasdorm.blogspot.com to see them and being praying for their hearts!].

Jump Start to the New Year!
Here is my Pinterest New Year's Project. Each rule has a Bible Verse associated with it. We have been discussing in great detail what God wants from our family this year!

Travis and I have started the New Year with a T.V. fast. I can't believe the clarity I have without it! I don't watch a lot of T.V. but I find myself falling asleep with a 'night night' show. Knowing that I won't be doing that and that I can use that time elsewhere has been great. Again, God is speaking to me [almost daily] about being a good steward of my time, money, and talents!
What's God speaking into your lives?

Happy New Year!
