Where is the 'good' in "goodbye..."

 Well Micah is in the Middle of his YMCA soccer Season....THAT FACE!!!! :)

 My good friend, Emily suggested that we have each boy over to 'our side' of the dorm each week to get to know them better. During his time, I attempt to cook a meal from their home. This week was a Potato Omelet for our Spanish guest...Bruno!

 I've had some good luck on Pinterest these days....a few crafts, activities, and recipes have kept these kiddo's busy!! Here Micah is melting crayon wax for an art project

 Wednesday nights we are headed to the Ballpark to watch Daddy play....still a stud!

 The Circus came to town and in pure Taflinger fashion...we go and watch them 'set-up' and convince our boys that it is better then the actual show...and quite a bit cheaper!!

And finally...this week marks the end of our first year as Dorm Parents here at Mikalas Dorm. We will miss these boys and the memories [and growth] that they have brought us!

First Friday

 My date for the evening ;) 

 Kokomo, IN has started an event entitled: First Friday in which the business/restaurants downtown stay open later to encourage more people visiting the downtown. We, Taflingers take full advantage of this event! The night is filled with dancing, eating, sampling, and shopping!!

Fun Fridays!!

 Fridays in the Taflinger Apartment are considered Fun Fridays. We don't have school or have to follow our schedule. I'm very aware that Kindergarten is looming around the corner and want to be very intentional about the remianing time we have together before our numbers are decreased! This week we went 'creek walking.' I was surprised at how much Caleb enjoyed it! He's usually very cautious and clean. Today he threw caution to the wind and embraced his muddy boots and conquered the creek....Micah was a different story :)

We are almost to the end of our first year as International Dorm Parents. Just about 4 weeks remain until we say "Chao...Adios...再見 to our 'sons.' What an exciting year it has been!! Continue to pray for these boys as they prepare for departure and for our biological boys as this will be a difficult 'good bye.'
