Fall Family Pictures 2012

These pictures were all taken downtown Kokomo-near our new place! We absolutely love living right in the city. We can walk to the Library, Post Office, YMCA, Travis' work, and Walgreens :)

Caleb said, "I want to live here forever!" Each night during our evening prayers Caleb says the same thing- he starts off by knocking on his wall "Lord, I know you are knocking on _______ [insert international boy's name] heart. I pray they would open up their heart so you can come in!"
There are many times at dinner I will hear him talking to boys about Jesus. He is so bold!
The international boys are gone with weekend with their host family so we have had some quality family time. We have needed the rest and time of quietness to renew our hearts.
God has really been speaking to me about time management again. "Teach us to use wisely all the time we have." Ps 90:12.
In the book, Doable Discipleship, it states that the we must conquer how we go to bed and how we get up. Essentially, it says that if we start and end our day correctly we will be more effective and efficient. I always knew that I needed to start my day with some "God-Time" but I am beginning to see the need to also end my day in the same manner. The 2 questions it poses for nighttime reflection are: 1. Have I taught my children [all 13 of them] something about God and His will today?
2. Have I dealt effectively with any sinful attitude or action in my children's lives today?
I don't do much self-reflection so this time has been beyond beneficial to me! All day I 'chew' on those two questions - sadly some days are failures but I have hope that their is always tomorrow!

Pray for us this week...we have 8 students attending Prom on Saturday!! Travis and I will be chaperoning the event and as many of you know- I attended a small private school that didn't have dances. So needless to say, I'm pretty excited to be attending my first Prom with the love of my life- despite being on Drink Duty, we are going to have a blast!
