When your the best of friends...spending so much time together [W. The Pooh Song]
Due to an increase in their serotonin levels, the boys have been so happy and good! Caleb is a new man once he hits that open air. We are talking obedient, kind, gentle, and compassionate! Typically, after breakfast I open the door and out he runs. He is so imaginative in his play and I get a kick out of the things he comes up with. Today I heard him in his toy house saying, "Mom, I'm making you some Cream of Wheat and it's HOT!" Didn't want any lawsuits on his hands.

Date Night!!

Travis and I went Country Line dancing the week during our date night. I didn't want to get my hopes up but I was pleasantly surprise with the evening!! We have been more intentional about spending quality time together, we take turns picking the location and events. It was obviously my turn to pick!! Here I am stumbling through the routine!

I love you mommy

Spring

Caleb got into my stickers...
Riding/chewing the police car at the Mall.
Daddy took a little March Madness road trip with some of his friends this weekend so the boys and I decided to 'live it up.' We went with some friends to "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny." Caleb loved the Easter Bunny this year while little Micah clung to my hip like honey to a stick.
Spring is always such an exciting time in Kokomo. Our city awakes from its winter slumber as the parks erupt with stir-crazy toddlers and grateful parents. There is a sense of joy in the air as warmer weather nears and daylight extends its hours. We love Spring!!
Recently, our church has started a new series called The Alpha Course. Travis and I have the opportunity to lead a table/group discussion for this event and it has been an enjoyable experience serving alongside Travis. I am reminded of what a humble leader he truly is. I feel honored to have him as my husband and grateful to be on this journey with him. We look forward to celebrating our FIVE year anniversary this year [we are heading to Miami!!]!
Well, enough random thoughts for tonight, I just had a few extra minutes since the grandparents have the kiddos for the night [I was even able to vacuum after 8:00p.m without waking anyone up!]
Goodnight Bloggers....

A day in the Life....

with my boys!!!
We took the boys to the YMCA to swim with some of the Bridges Kids! Micah loved it but Caleb enjoyed 'wading' in the water -much to entertained by all of the Bridges Kids!

Here we have Caleb with his amazingly cool shades as Micah tries to catch some bubbles. Busy day!

The boys on yet another wagon ride. P.S. Here's our new van!!! What a God-sent! Caleb still gets excited that with the push of a button his door opens!

I sure did pull out my camera at the grocery store, I don't want to miss a moment...speaking of which, I think I hear Micah-

Spring Fever

Well the Taflinger boys are getting a little stir-crazy!! I have racked my brain for fun things to do indoors but am ready for some outside fun! Here is Caleb [and Alli-not pictured :) ] making Lego jewelry!

The boys during their daily piano lesson...:)

BIG NEWS: Micah and Caleb are now both in forward-facing car seats. No more hauling around the bucket seat! Micah is a much better traveller now that he can 'see the world!' Caleb and Micah are now conversing more.Yesterday I heard Caleb tell Micah, "Micah is will be okay [he was crying] but no talking right now!" Caleb couldn't hear his Baby Worship over Micah's cries!

Thank you Jesus- the weather has been nice in Kokomo the last two days and so we pulled out the Wagon!!
We spent the majority of the day outside. After we visited two parks, the boys were free to roam our backyard. Last year we had it fenced in so it is theirs to explore. It warmed my heart to see the boys interacting together and safe. I foresee a fun summer ahead!
"The more children play outside, the more they laugh!" Dr. Tessa Livingstone

I asked Caleb to smile and this was the result!

I guess there is work that comes along with this award...
1. Thank and link the person who gave you this award
2. Pass this award on to 5 blogs that you think are fantastic
3. Contact blogs and let them know they've won
4. State 7 interesting things about yourself
Here are 7 interesting things about me...

1. Most nights I will unwind while reading a Parenting Book or Magazine. Just trying to figure out my boys...

2. I have never done drugs but I'm sure the high is similar tow hat I experience when I snag a good deal, sale, or bargain. I love garage sales, rummage sales, and thrift stores.

3. To relieve stress, I dance...well just kind of jump around to wild music. The radio's been on a lot lately.

4. My favorite Season is Summer for all the obvious reasons.

5. I want to live in CO and work for Focus on the Family Institute. I just can't seem to let go of that dream!

6. I re-arrange my house several times a month. I enjoy change and like looking at things from a different perspective-in my home and in life.

7. I could survive on Gatorade and Granola Bars with an occasionally sprinkle and York Mints.

To all my Beautiful Bloggers- MUCH LOVE!
