Fall

While at our friend's house last night we attempted to take a picture of the boys on their porch. So here we are desperatly trying to get them to look for the picture....failing miserably. Caleb's reading a book, Miles is counting the hay, and Micah...well, he's always so compliant!
So sweet!!

This was the best one of the bunch!! Maybe next year!

I never really enjoyed Fall. I prefer the hotter months and the activites associated with Summer. However, this year I find myself excited to take the boys on some Fall festivites! Apple picking, pumpkin carving, corn-mazing are all in our plans for this year! Bring on the crisp Fall air, I'm ready for you this year!

Raising Children...

Wrestle Time with Daddy!!!
Caleb is fearless!!! Climbing on the big boy playground!

Micah chillin' in the swing!

Caleb at Grandpa Dale's airport admiring the planes.

Sweet Caleb Jay in his undies!

I heard an awesome sermon on T.V by Charles Stanely and I thought I'd share the 10 main points...

Top Ten Things to Remember when Raising Children:
1. Spend quality time with them. There is NO substitution for mom and dad. Time spent with your child is an investment in their eternity.
2. Listen to them carefully so they'll listen to you when they need to.
3. Admit fault
4. Love them unconditionally.
5. Discipline your children motivated by the desire to protect them.
6. Discipline your children motivated by the desire for them to be all they can be.
7. Lead them to fully understand their ultimate accountability is to God.
8. Teach them that the most important thing in life is their relationship with Christ!!!!
9. Etch into their minds that God has a plan for their life.
10. Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him!
Great reminders!!!
Have a great Tuesday!

Misc.

My camo boys watching Barney!!
My college friend is having a baby in October!! Here we are at her shower!!

The boys are now bathing together to save on time and water. Caleb hasn't noticed that bubby has joined his bath time because he's too busy playing, however, Micah thoroughly enjoys his new bath partner!

Lounging before play date!

Grandma Sheila makes pumpkins every year and this year's theme was CARS!! The boys couldn't be more thrilled!

Labor Day cont.

Love Mike's face in this one...
Pretty sure Bella is my child!! Oh I just want to squeeze her!

Labor Day

My family was able to come over from Cleveland for Labor Day weekend to celebrate Micah's baby dedication!! Here is a classic shot of grammy and pa with the grandkids!

Auntie Lisa just loves Lia....she is so sweet spirited and smart!! We laughed at/with her the whole weekend, she is very entertaining!

I found this treasure for 2$ at a garage sale!

Baby Dedication at our church...lovely service!

Grammy and Caleb snuggling together after an eventful day!
It was so great to have my family in town...especially my wonderful sisters. I found myself laughing so hard that my sides hurt and my eyes were filled with tears. Laughter is excellent medicine. There is a bond between us that is so special - no matter the mileage between us, we will always be close. Love you!!

Caleb Jay!

Caleb drawing while on the potty.
He rubbed his eye while painting today..thought it made for a funny picture!

I have a brief moment to upload some "Caleb Happenings" while he rests upstairs...I say 'rests' because I just got a TV monitor so that I can keep a closer eye on him while he is in his crib. He is currently not asleep but rather reciting all the words he has ever learned while doing a headstand! That's his way of unwinding I suppose!!
