6 Month Birthday!

Caleb with his "Pacifier Ring!"
The Boys
Friends
Finally...they both looked!
The other day Caleb and I were napping together. I awoke from my nap prior to Caleb so -in order not to disturb his peaceful nap- I remained still until he was up. During this time I decided to once again, dedicate Caleb to the Lord. Travis and I are both in awe of this awesome responsibility of raising a son and of the privilege to be parents. We had no idea of the overwhelming emotions attached with being a mother and a father. As we celebrate today, we are humbled that God has allowed us to care for such a wonderful creation! Thank you Jesus!

Yesterday, my dear friend Tara gave birth to a baby girl!! She was so little in my arms and I can't believe that Caleb was once that small.

My parents are coming in town this weekend and we can't wait to have them!!!

Feet on the Table

Caleb is becoming quite the messy eater. As a result, Travis and I will often feed him with just a bib and diaper on!! Then we hose him down!! Here is KK with his foot on the table waiting on his squash!!!

Gone Are The Days....

"Okay mom, enough with the pictures!!"

Gone are the days in which I was able to lay Caleb in his crib and he would remain in the same position the next morning. Recently, he has been rolling over at record speeds! He is trying desperately to crawl but hasn't yet!

He looks so big!!
Oatmeal is still a favorite
Still growing into it...

Caleb with Dad in his Bridges Shirt [Travis also sporting his Bridges Jacket from Papa and Mama Paolone!]
I'm not sure if you can see this but our dear friend Ashely Taskey took a picture of Caleb and Daddy when Caleb was 1 month old. The caption reads, "There is always love in daddy's hands!" Look at how dark Caleb's hair was!! His hair is much lighter now!

I am still getting used to writing "2008!" 2007 proved to be a very exciting year for the Taflingers. As I was folding the laundry last night I said to Travis, "Babe -THIS TRULY IS THE BEST TIME OF OUR LIVES!!" We were able to list so many blessings...

1. Caleb

2. Being able to stay at home with him

3. Our new Church!

4. Our Health

5. Bridges

The list went on and on!!

Caleb continues to make us smile...

Our precious son's tooth [just one] has finally arrived! It is not noticeable unless you feel it but he has been in a more positive mood since this event! Thank you Jesus!!

Also, Caleb has really been wanting to volunteer with Daddy at Bridges Outreach so today I finally let him...he wanted to wear his new Bridges shirt that Grandma Sheila and Grandpa Taf got him for Christmas. He wasn't much help with the tutoring but he did a wonderful job making sure the students were on-task! Daddy has already created the position as "Assistant Bridges Director" for the little man!

Today I began my [very] part-time job! To make a long story short, I will be working with "Prevent Child Abuse." I create my own hours [not to exceed 10 hours weekly] and set my own appointments. The city was given a grant to provide Baby Safety Items to those deserving families in Kokomo. It is my job to assess their need and then go shop for them!! Talk about a wonderful job!!! [Again, we thank you JESUS!!] God has provided for our family in so many ways!!

Finally, Caleb will be dedicated on Jan 27th at New Life Assembly of God at 10a.m You are all welcome to come and support this event!

We love you and here are some pictures of the man!

Rubber Duckie!

Caleb in his new Rubber Duckie! He loved it!

Play time

"Who Me?'

This week was my first official week home with Caleb...we had a wonderful, action-packed week!! We had story time, bath time, walks, and feedings- I just loved every moment with him!! I don't regret my decision to stay at home with him at all! Tonight as I was giving him his last feed and getting him ready for bed he looked up at me and placed his little hand on my lips and smiled...I think he was trying to say, "Thanks Mom- I love you!" We've had quiet a few special moments together this week and I look forward to many more!

Thank you Jesus for Caleb and the joy that he brings into our lives!

Caleb's Bib: I love my mommy!!
Since I've resigned at Howard, I have started watching another baby in my home. It's been quite a busy week with two 5 month olds! Since they are on different feeding schedules, I am literally running in the house to cater to both of them. I can't imagine having twins!

We recently returned from a wonderful trip to Ft. Myers, Florida. It was a great time with Travis' family! Caleb is well on the plane ride [Thank you Jesus!] and slept well the whole trip. He continues to pull himself up and loves his solids!
Caleb is really starting to get a personality of his own. Today mom attempted to try him out in the nursery at church. However, whenever a baby would start crying, Caleb would also cry....proving that our son if very compassionate and empathetic!
He continues to make us laugh with his mannerisms and smiles. He is such a bundle of joy!!
